Privacy Policy for Awesome Share to Clipboard

Last updated: October 26, 2025

AwesomeShareToClipboard is a single-purpose Android share target that copies whatever you share straight into the device clipboard. The app does not collect, store, or transmit personal data, and this Privacy Policy explains how that commitment works in practice.

Quick Summary

  • Everything happens locally on your device; the app has no servers, analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or third-party trackers.
  • Clipboard content you intentionally share is written to the Android clipboard and discarded immediately after the system confirms the copy.
  • The only persistent data is a simple on/off preference that controls whether Android 13+ should hide clipboard previews.
  • Privacy questions or rights requests can be sent to [email protected].

Information We Process

Shared Content (Ephemeral)

When you pick Awesome Share To Clipboard from the Android Share sheet, the app receives the payload (text, links, HTML, images, or files) solely so it can place that payload onto the system clipboard. The data never leaves your device, is not logged, and disappears from the app's memory as soon as the copy is complete.

App Preferences

The app stores one preference in Android SharedPreferences: whether to tag clipboard entries as sensitive on Android 13 or higher. This value contains no personal information and remains on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

No Diagnostics or Accounts

The app does not include crash reporting, analytics, login systems, or cloud backups. There is no mechanism for the developer to access your clipboard data or device identifiers.

How We Use Information

  • Provide the share-to-clipboard action you request.
  • Apply your sensitive clipboard preference on Android 13+ to suppress system previews if you turned the option on.

No profiling, marketing, or data monetization occurs because the app never stores personal data.

Lol Storage & Retention

Clipboard payloads live only in volatile memory during the copy action and are never written to disk by the app. The single SharedPreferences flag remains until you remove the app or clear its storage in Android settings.

Permissions & Device Access

  • Clipboard access: Needed to place the content you shared onto the system clipboard.
  • Temporary read access to shared files: Granted by the sending app through Android's content URI permissions; the app does not retain copies of those files.
  • Internet access: Not used. The app can function fully without a network connection.

Third-Party Services

No third-party services receive data from the app because the app neither connects to external APIs nor bundles SDKs that transmit information.

Children's Privacy

The app targets a general audience and is suitable for users of all ages. Because it does not collect personal information, it does not knowingly gather data from children under 13 or from minors in jurisdiction.

Your Rights & Choices

  • Uninstall the app or clear its storage to remove the local preference file.
  • Use the Android Settings app to revoke storage or file access that you previously granted through the system, if applicable.
  • Email [email protected] if you have privacy questions or need confirmation about this zero-data design.

International Data Transfers

No international data transfers occur because no personal data is collected or stored. If you email the support address, that correspondence will be handled through standard email providers, and anything you choose to share there will follow that provider's routing.

Policy Updates

Material changes to this Privacy Policy will be explained in the Release Notes and reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. You can review the latest version any time from within the app or on the project website.
